Synopsis:

Based on a series of light novels, Kure-nai is about the adventures and misadventures of 16-year-old Kurenai Shinkurou. Shinkurou is an authority in settling disputes between people, and finds his life turned upside down one day when he is assigned as a bodyguard for Kuhouin Murasaki, the daughter of a powerful plutocratic family.

Kure-nai was a good anime that was probably one of my top priority list anime that season. It has a good plot and a good ending (though some may dislike it). It was funny when they wanted it to be funny, was exciting when they wanted to excite us, and generated curiosity when they created suspense. It's a nice anime that I would rate one of the best few that season (though I didn't watch all). The ending made it possible for a second season or an OVA. Rated 9/10 for me.
