Non-chan safely underwent the surgery and soon after, he starts his acting career. In the mean time, Kotoko highly anticipates her upcoming birthday. She has never celebrated her birthday together with Irie, just the two of them. (Yeah, considering the omfgymfgtfo Irie was before. LOL)
Even though Mama Irie is sad because Kotoko wants to celebrate her birthday just with Irie, she feels happy and hopeful for her. She even prepares herself for the date - gets a facial done, shopping with the girls to look for the perfect dress, etc.
Finally the day she's been waiting for is here! Mama Irie and Kotoko reminded Irie of the plan repeatedly when he's leaving the house, causing Irie to snap. LOL. She finishes her shift and hurries to do her hair. Unknown to her, she left her mobile at the nurse's station. At the hair salon, she asks the trap hairstyler for the perfect hair to suit the occasion. Unfortunately her hair is hideous LOL. Suddenly, as she walks to the hotel, an accident occurs and there's a man lying injured on the road.
Announces that she's a nurse, she quickly checks the man's vital stats and asks the crowd to call an ambulance. After all the commotion, Kotoko realizes she's late. In the taxi, she rummages through her handbag to find her mobile so that she could notify Irie of her lateness. But since she left her phone at the hospital, there's nothing she could do about it. To make things even worse, she's trapped in a massive traffic jam. She runs to the hotel and even stumbles on the pavement. Aww poor Kotoko!!
She arrives at the hotel in a wreck. Her hair is a mess, her blood-spattered dress is dirty and she's pretty much broken inside. As the hotel's worker approaches her and asks her whether she's okay, she looks at her reflection in the mirror and she begins to cry. She wants to look beautiful especially today but everything is ruined. As she cries, Irie comes up from behind then Kotoko hugs him and apologizes. Irie assures that it's alright as long as she made it safely. Then, a guest (obviously it's Mama Irie) hands them a large bouquet of flowers. Clearly both of them know instantly that it is their mother. LOL.
They celebrate Kotoko's birthday in the hotel room romantically. :p Actually this one is upside down, I rotated the scene to make it much clearer. Is it my imagination or is it really Kotoko's hair becomes longer? LOL.
In the middle of the night, as Irie watches Kotoko asleep, he takes her hand and slides a ring on her finger as a birthday gift from him. At work, Kotoko shows off the ring to everybody. Then during a case she's working with Irie, Kotoko is touched by the love a mother shown to her son. Irie notices that Kotoko is slightly feverish. Back at home, Mama Irie also becomes aware that Kotoko is not looking well.
Irie's question left everybody in a shock! "Maybe you're pregnant?"
