great it works now! no more annoying blocks on [gg]'s release :D
I gues my CCCP+MPC is really old, I just didn't feel like updating it since I didn't have any problem with till now.

    Glad 2 c ur helped ^.^

and if you need CoreAVC to work again (If you use CoreAVC) then just disable thoes 2 in Transform Filters, and then re-Enable "CoreAVC Video Decoder" in the external filters.

Pretty much the process in reverse.

I only have CoreAVC enabled and thoes 2 Transform filters un-checked when not watching [gg] releases now.

BTW, CoreAVC 2.0 is scheduled to be released really soon now. Until then, another alternative is to use ffdshow and select ffmpeg-mt as the H264/AVC decoder in its properties, works really well in multicore systems, better than the internal MPC-HC decoder.
The book is not satisfying so far, should I close it? Hmm...

    WOW!

    That works even better.
+ you can leave CoreAVC enabled this way as well and not have the blockyness.

I'll update the first post about it ^.^

    Edit: Done & Done ^.^
It's been edited with that better method ^.^

I'm using DivX 7.2.2 as my h264 decoder with CCCP and everything still looks fine. So, I guess there's always that option too.

My media server also had an old version of x264 installed (screwy pictures are evil 8[)

For those on linux around here (and I don't think, there are many besides me :p) this one helps:

    As a dep:
    Git

    mplayer and ffmpeg-mt :3

That's odd... my blockyness stopped when I enabled the "ffmpeg-mt" on the H.264/AVC section, and with "CoreAVC Video Decoder" enabled with thoes "H264/AVC (DXVA)" & "H264/AVC (FFmpeg)" disabled.

For codecs all i have is CCCP + CoreAVC, so it shouldn't be any different for anyone else...
