Default Re: What formats do you guys want?

Hi I am new here.

I had downloaded the first 16 or so episodes of "Seto No Hanayome" from Shinsen Subs in Xvid format (I prefer the full english subbing translations in any anime because I speak VERY little japanese and cannot read japanese), however they dropped the project and I never got the see the other half.

I loved "Seto No Hanayome" because out of all the anime I have in my current collection, it was the funniest and found myself laughig every five seconds (even from watching certain scenes repeatedly).

So in all, I think both an H264/MKV, and an Xvid/AVI releases will be beneficial to both parties (I think both formats are standard for most fansubbing releases).

And speaking of the DVD releases, does anyone know when they will come out and if they will be available in Australia and/or America in both english dub and english subbing? Or at the very least in Japanese with english subbing options imported from Asia?

Haven't heard of any announcement for a western release yet.

Why buying bootlegs if you can have fansubs for free? ^_~

HD sounds great, as long as the file stays in the 180-190 MB area (which if the source is clear enough I think is doable).

Thanks for doing this guys, I don't know why I like this series but I do

Definitely HD for me. I don't mind downloading episodes of the 200-300mb+ range, so long as the quality is good. Like, 720P or better. :)

Thanks sarcastic (that is your Username, right?). I like downloading anime, manga, game and anime music and jpop becuse it is free. But it also good to find out which new series suit your likings.

:feel_good:

But I also like to the buy the DVDs releases (Australian if possible, followed by American, then imported Japanese as a last resort) not only because of the colourful atwork on the boxes and disc cases; the acessories you get in the boxes and/or volumes such as booklets or magnets, etc; and the special features (if they happen to have them), but also to help out the international industry that distributes them around the world.

:feel_good:

Of course, half the anime and manga that are released every year make it to America, and of that of that goes worldwide. So in all, Australia only gets 1/4 of a year's worth of anime and manga from Japan per year.

it would be preferable for the tv releases to be released in the format that GG and ep.17 was done, so they may all fit together nicely! ^_^ thaaaanks!

So if it's not a huge inconvenience, PLEASE keep the XVID AVI format for those of us who use it for this purpose. One of the reasons I loved BakaWolf releases is because you DO release an XVID AVI format.
Well it's not exactly keeping the xvid avi format when it was never around for this series to begin with.

I can tell you now that it definitely won't be 180-190 MB.

gg also haets upscales, which Seto is. If you're going to release upscales, would you mind not putting the [gg] tag on there too? (Actually, would you mind just nuking the [gg] tag from all files period so people quit asking me about the politics of these releases?)

Love ~
